Reasons that make us the best choice for you

Focus On Teaching

All we do is teach. We do not sell art supplies. This leaves us free to specialize in one thing - providing the highest quality of art instruction.

University Trained Teachers

Our instructors are highly qualified and many have extensive performance experience. Most importantly, our instructors strive to relate their teaching to each individual student's learning style.

All Ages

Our current students range in age 4 years old to teenagers. We take care to teach what is essential to the art medium so that art is rewarding for all students.

Small Class Sizes

Small class sizes ensure that the students have the attention of the teacher and can progress at a level suited to each individually.

Regular Student Gallery Shows

Student exhibitions are held at least twice a year. These provide students with performance experience and build confidence. Participation in art festivals, competitions and workshops is also available.

Exam Preparation

We offer full training in technique to prepare art students for entrance into specialized art programs in junior high and high schools throughout New York City.

COVID-19 UPDATE for 2020-2021

As we plan for fall at the Art’s House Schools, we’d like to give you an update on our path to reopening. Under New York State and CDC guidelines and recommendations, we will reopen AHS in three distinct phases:

Phase1: All programs will be delivered virtually.

Dance Parents- If you want your child to have the studio experience at home, we believe dancers will have a better virtual learning experience if they are provided with in-studio tools. While it is not mandatory, we recommend investing in a portable dance floor (and ballet bar, if taking ballet lessons). Purchasing these items is an investment Art’s House Schools are willing to share the cost for; we will cover the cost of one month’s tuition or the price of the dance floors and bar, whichever is less. (Floors, Portable Ballet Bars,, )

Phase 2: When deemed safe to have classes in-person, we will move into Phase 2. During this phase, programs will be delivered in a hybrid format blending in-person and online classes. We will provide more information on this hybrid programming at a later date.

Phase 3: When we can safely increase the capacity for in-person classes, AHS will move into Phase 3. While we will continue to offer online instruction, most students will take courses in person.

As always, safety is our priority. The health and well-being of our students, staff, and families are our top priority. If you have any questions regarding the phasing plan, please feel free to call us at 718-996-2000.
